It is found in many Post offices that NSC/KVP are closed in Finacle but certificates are not discharged yet. Postal Directorate has issued a clarification
vide no. FS-61/1/2021-FS-DOP dated 15.03.2023 in this regard as per which it is stated that a list of such certificates which were found discharged in PATRAM but live in FInacle was shared with Postal Circle offices and it was directed to close such certificates after due verification.Further, it was presumed by Postal Directorate that if no any report would be received from Circle offices, these certificates would be closed at CEPT level and if any certificate is produced in future, Circle should settle such cases manually after making necessary action to avoid double payment.
