As you know Department of Post is going to set new recruitment rules for the recruitment of Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant.
A draft came into notice on 18.09.2019 regarding framing of Department of Posts (Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant) Recruitment Rules, 2019. Now a meeting has been set up with representatives of Federations/Union to review the framing of Recruitment Rules of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant on 17.01.2020 at Dak Bhawan, New Delhi. The letter was issued to following Federations/Unions.
1. Secretary General, NFPE (National Federation of Postal Employee)
2. Secretary General, FNPO (Federation of Nation Postal Organization)
3. Secretary General, BPEF (Bharatiya Postal Employee Federation)
4. General Secretary, AISBCEU (All India Saving Bank Control Employee Union)
5. General Secretary, AIGDSU (All India Gramin Dak Sevaks Union)

Previously a draft came into light regarding various changing in Recruitment rules of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant vide Dte. New Dehli F. No. 04-05/2015-SPB-I Dated 18.09.2019. As per this letter all Circle Heads were requested to go through the draft Recruitment Rules and furnish their comments (if any) within a period of one month.
As per this latest meeting letter, it can be assumed that this draft is in final stage and Order might come in effect before end of this financial Year 2019-20.
